Campaign description

More than half of the schools in rural Africa lack water and sanitation facilities. As a result, students miss many days of school due to water and sanitation related illnesses. Girls are more likely to drop out of school when they do not have access to adequate latrines. The Manji Foundation is changing that by improving the access of students in Africa to safe water and latrines at school.
The Manji Foundation works to improve the health and well being of the community through interventions at schools. Since 2007 The Manji Foundation has funded water projects in the developing world worth more than $1 million, including projects in eight schools in Africa.
Students in Africa receive clean drinking water, functioning latrines, and hygiene and health education. Our programs include building hand washing stations, drilling wells, building latrines, and installing water tanks.
